Our Miracle is Here

Our Miracle is Here
Welcome Little Angel Grayson James Walker

Thursday, April 26, 2012

I miss you Grayson.  My heart is empty without you here.  Your brother and sister sure do keep me entertained but I can't help but think that they would be entertaining you too.  It's not fair but I guess that's how life goes.  I look around and everyone I know is either having a baby or just had one.  I'm sure you'd be smiling and starting to show a little personality.  It hurts to not be able to just pick you up and hold you.  I can't even touch you.   I just wish I could really understand this all.  You are still my little baby boy and I won't ever forget you.  You've opened my eyes to alot of things.  I don't think I'll ever be the same.  I know your daddy and I have said that several times.  He told me before you were born that I wouldn't be the same person.  I'm not quite the same, but its for the better I think.  You have impacted so many people's lives just because you lived.  I chose life for you, but it was never a doubt for me.  It was never an option for me son, because you are my son, no matter what length of time.  God gave you to me, Heather Elaine Walker.  I knew that I would love you unconditionally.  I miss you so much Grayson James.  I wish Ellie and Noah could have grown up knowing you.  They would have you spoiled rotten already.  Ellie would've taken you to her room and acted like mommy.  I'm sure she would have been a big helper.  She might have even dressed you up in her baby doll clothes.  Noah could have shown you his cars and sung you the night, night song.  We love you bubba.  It won't be too long before we see your beautiful face again.  This time on earth is short but it means something.  We're gonna do our part to make sure that others know about your life and that they choose the same for their children.  You just keep on working on that mansion with Jesus.  I love you.

  1. Heather,

My prayers are with you as you grieve the loss of Grayson. Watching the video of his journey in this world made me praise the Lord for the amazing grace and wisdom he has bestowed upon you and your husband as you trusted his perfect plan and celebrated the life of your son. What a blessing any child is. Your strength and honesty is an inspiration and my prayer is that it makes people question the decisions they make while their babies are in their womb and kiss their children in thanks for the health and the little time any of us have together on this earth. Jesus said "Let the children come unto me", and the thought of Him seated at the right hand of God holding Grayson for you until you get there brings tears to my eyes. May God richly bless you and your family. I will remember Grayson James.

  3. I read your blogged and as a mom of two, I cried for your pain and loss, but at the same time, you held perfection. God's perfect angel graced your arms until he was ready to be called to home. Your son taught me to love my boys even more-so, and know in his physical absence, lies his greater spiritual essence. God bless you and your beautiful family.

  5. Thank you for sharing this blog with the world. It touched home for me as my daughter was born with a life-threatening defect as well. I can never imagine losing a child in this way though. God bless you and your beautiful family. Peace to you.

  6. Heather,

I don't know you, in fact this is the first time I'm reading your blog but honestly I'm so grateful you posted this, thank you for trusting in God, and yes, you are Grayson's mommy forever! You made a decision I know many other woman don't make, it's a decision that allowed Grayson to be here on Earth for those precious 8 hours and make such a huge impact in society!

Heather, I was born 30 years ago with several severe Congential Heart Defects, I was given a very low percentage to survive, my parents had 3 choices, they could give up, they could fight and put me through open heart surgery as an infant more than one time, or they could pray that I'd live long enough for a heart transplant! They decided to allow me to have the surgeries, and 30 years later I'm still here. I want you to know that you allowing Grayson to come into this world is something he can't ever thank you for in this lifetime, but in Heaven he will! I know that everyday when I wake up I thank the Lord for giving me my parents, and allowing them to let me fight, I just know that Grayson feels the same way. You are in my heart, thoughts, and prayers!!

  7. Your journey is beautiful and your son is perfect, I know you probably hear this a lot but this has changed my life as well as many of my family members. My little brother was born with quadriplegic cerebral palsy and is currently blind, this caused my dad to loose all faith in God. He couldn't understand why God would give him, his only son and make him suffer, I showed him your journey and the memories you made with Grayson and how your faith is still strong. It's taking some time but we have brought God back into our lives as well as begun to share life with Dylan.

  10. I'm not typically a religious person...I don't even know what I believe, but every time I read your story, all I can think is, "God bless that family. God bless that mother."

God bless you and your family. My heart breaks for you every time I read about your little Grayson. I don't have anything poignant to say...just that he has touched many lives thanks to you.
